80% of UK Air Conditioning Fails to Qualify for the Enhanced Capital Allowance

Daikin UK have released information on the recent changes to the Enhanced Capital Allowance qualification. These changes will result in 80% of the Air Conditioning products available in the market being taken from the list.

What is the ECA? The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme is a key part of the Government’s programme to manage climate change. It provides businesses with enhanced tax relief for investments in equipment that meets published energy-saving criteria. Continue reading

R422D VRV system still Going Strong After 18 Months

Approaching the 18 Month mark, we revisited the first VRV system that we converted to R422D as a direct replacement for R22 refrigerant.

This was not only the first trial for us on VRV, it was also the first trial of R422D or ISCEON 29 on any VRV system in the UK.

The trial was a joint venture by Temperature Control, DuPont and IDS Refrigeration on behalf of Jurys Doyle Hotel group now changed to the Doyle Collection. Continue reading
