Recycling Lives

The Recycling Lives Carbon Reduction Team has recycled their first redundant air conditioning unit.

As part of our ongoing relationship with Recycling Lives, we have appointed them as our recycler for redundant air conditionings systems. This is on the back of Daikin who have just set up a corporate deal to appoint Recycling Lives to become its national recycling centre

Recycling Lives Carbon Reduction Manager Steve Lauri said:

“It is great to be working so closely with a company like Temperature Control. Recycling Lives will be recycling and using as much of the waste units as possible to reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfill. This will save a lot of waste being sent to landfill, as imminent changes to the air conditioning regulations will ban the use of R22 refrigerant; forcing the industry to replace its existing air conditioning units with newer, more environmentally friendly units over the coming years. Recycling Lives is placed to assist the air conditioning industry during this transition period, helping to safely dispose of any redundant units and to reduce carbon emissions”

It is important that we make the right decision with the end of life products and with our knowledge and experience in R22 replacement it enables us to offer a full service to our clients.
