“Only fix what is broken during these austere times. Temperature Control assisted in a Data Centre refurbishment. As with many projects, budgets were tight and sections of the existing data centre infrastructure and build were retained where possible, creating a challenge of introducing high efficiency cooling within an existing data centre build.”

Project Overview

Original brief was to replace the entire Data Centre. Existing Data Centre cooling systems had reached the end of their serviceable life and a decision was made to replace the systems and re-route the cable network from below the restricted floor void to the ceiling void overhead as the floor void was so congested that all air distribution was virtually impossible.

Retaining the existing computer floor and ceiling made considerable savings to the end user which helped towards other budgets within the business. The challenge was to install all new services and plant whilst maintaining existing infrastructure and build.
