Facilities Management Show 2018

Energy Use, Legislation, Maintenance, Sustainability

We are please to announce that we will be exhibiting at the FM Show from 19 – 21 June at the Excel Centre London

The key topic this year is MEES (Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards) and we are on hand to help out on solutions that can reduce the energy use within commercial properties and enhance the EPC rating.

What is MEES

MEES has been introduced as legislation to improve the energy efficiency across the commercial sector. Starting off as a minimum EPC banding of E or above, the aim is to increase this to Band C by 2030.

Approximately 50% of all energy use in buildings is from HVAC systems and we have many options to reduce this energy and make a major impact on overall energy use.

It is estimated that 18% of all commercial buildings have an EPC below Band E, which falls below the MEES standards and since 1 April 2018, fines can be levied on building owners and landlords on buildings that do not satisfy MEES standards.

If you are coming down to the show, come and say hi and for more information on MEES please see attached our short introduction. You can find us on stand T910
